<div></div>
<div>
<p><strong>&#8220;The Grumpy Wind in Wonderland&#8221; is an interactive mobile game with using a microphone as an interface by blowing on your phone. The goal of this game for the audience is to work together as one team to finish stripping people&#8217;s clothes within the time frame of 2 minutes.The stronger the wind is, it is easier to blow off the people&#8217;s clothes shown on the screen.</strong></p>
</div>
<div>&#8220;The Grumpy Wind in Wonderland&#8221; is inspired by the Aesop&#8217;s Fable of &#8220;The North Wind and the Sun&#8221;. This project aims to create interactive experiences between the large audience and the Big Screens. We thought that using phone as an interface is one of the most effective ways for large number of people to participate our project in the public. This game will allow the public to be more engaged in a virtual world with having physical interaction.</div>

<p><em>Amik Ahmad, Alex Samoilescu &amp; Roopa Vasudevan</em></p>
<div><strong>A poetic ode to one of the greatest scientists and inventors of our time.</strong></div>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<div>Named for one of the approximately 300 patents that he put on file in his lifetime, this piece serves as an abstract representation of the life, inventions, and legacy of Nikola Tesla, one of the most prolific and brilliant scientists that the world has ever known.  Evocative images reflecting on the successes of his work and his personal and professional struggles (both with his peers and with his own mental stability) are depicted, using traditional digital animation techniques as well as generative images designed with code.</div>

<p>Splat! enables over a hundred spectators to participate in a multi-player game on the IAC video wall.</p>
<p>By going to a URL on a smartphone, the audience connects to the game and forms teams of birds intent on exacting revenge on the cars below. Once a smartphone or tablet is connected to the game, a unique avatar appears on the big screen and a game controller appears on the users device to direct their bird to release droppings on the moving targets below.</p>
<p>Splat! supports over 100 simultaneous players competing on the big screen. The game is built using standard web development technologies to run the game logic and render objects on screen. A node.js socket server synchronously connect client devices to the big screen. This ensures players have direct control over gameplay and immediate visual feedback.</p>

<div>The architecture of our everyday is nothing short of epic. Our horizon as well as individual icons are harnessed to express the frenetic, symmetrical and assymetrical beauty of this unique city. A kaleidoscope of manmade wonder, finally at the appropriate scale for NYC.</div>
<div></div>
<div>From the brown housing blocks to the gilded Woolworth, from the refined brownstone to the industrial warehouse, from the low slung dockyards to the crystalline monoliths of downtown NYC&#8217;s cultural character and rich history live in these shapes and forms.</div>
<div></div>
<div>A critical matter of where you stand shapes the intimacy you share with the infrastructure. This piece is a study of our collective relationships with New York City.</div>
