The first time i went to ITP open house last year, i was so shocked to see what those people were doing on the floor. On one table there was someone in front of two computers connected with different cables and was busy typing crazy programs on both screens, whilst on the other side of the room was this guy (i remember he was wearing black t-shirt) hopelessly trying to connect two cables (or maybe it was wires) and created this short electricity lightning instead (i don’t know what you call that stuff, uh oh…) And of course, there were some others too… busy doing some random crazy things with whatever those stuff they were having. It was scary!

That night i said to myself, “Shoot! That place is full of loonies doing God-knows- whatever-things-they-are-making! …. Cool!”

Call me stupid, or ignorance but those kind of things were way out of my league, my comfort zone and my background which is psychology and journalism (in Bahasa, so please excuse my English).

So now, here i am on my second week still trying to make friends with solder, ohms, arduinos, processing, syntax, void, loops and some others. I’m now officially (consciously made the decision to) join the “loonies”
