week4 light box

wanted to use the structure i began for my lock for this project because it got many positive comments…so i transformed it into a box and wanted it to light when it was closed so it would illuminate through the plexi glass and the mesh. to do this the led was not enough so i learned how to use a light bulb with AC through the breadboard. i used a photo sensor.

week4 lab servo

it actually was pretty easy to follow, it is not clear though how the amounts have to be adjusted so the servo will actually go the 180 degrees, will have to clarify in class

photoshop images

assignment: start an image, pass it around to your team, everyone adds a little…

i had never before used photoshop, so this homework was a challenge…

“the work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction” by walter benjamin

some personal thoughts based on what he wrote….

some forms of art can be mechanically reproduced, and i dont believe that they loose value or “aura” because of it, such is the case of photography or film.  Some other forms of art, created for any reason, ritual or political, will loose essence when reproduced as painting, but because of this originals, which has the hand of the artist, will always be more valuable than a reproduction of the piece.  But other forms of art as film, are made for reproduction, it is not a form of art to be seen in segments of or before completion as a whole.
