Rules

The game is similar to Capture Go but is played on the rooftops of NYC. If you’ve got access to a rooftop you can play. There are two teams (black and white). Pick a team and make your playing piece. It should be a sheet (any material will d0) minimum of 10′x 10′. Make sure the sheet is visible from above. It will be photographed by Google Earth at some point in the future. We don’t know when but we’ll let you know when the game is over. There will be a link to the RSS feeds from Goggle Earth blogs indicating the image update status.  This game is played over the course of many months and is team oriented. It would be fun to play with friends but it’s cool to meet others and expand the network and playing surface to the outer boroughs. The board boundaries are the city limits. The object of the game is for your team to capture and take over as much of the NY metro area as possible. Rules.

  1.  Choose your team
  2.  Make your game piece and place it on your rooftop
  3.  Indicate your rooftop address on the website map.
  4.  When Google Earth updates (it could be 2 months or 6 months that’s the mystery and the fun) the game is over and restarts.
