I would like to make 3D Animation using camera in this final project. Also, I wanted to make visual images reacting with a sound. By making this animation, I’ve expected to improve my Processing skills.  

The way 

Tree images are put in 3D perspective space. Trees are shown through camera animation. Tree images are formed by very slender lines as the idea image. Camera goes among trees, and goes up to the sky. And then, we can see stars (I wanted to use random color to make stars) in the sky. Finally, we can see the whole forest image like boom-up.  

Problem 

1. Trees I tried to make growing trees with very thin lines and spend lots of time to know how to use  sin, cos, tan. But, lines like mobius strips were coming out continuously. 

2. CameraI used 2D software such as Flame and inferno at the past. It was very hard to control camera working in 2D programs. I slightly knew zoom in and out, camera view in Processing. Also, managing camera in processing is very hard to use.  

3. Perspective SpaceI would like to make dense forest with growing trees in 3D space. However, I could not make myself familiar with controlling Z-depth. 

My work 

I definitely changed my work because of my inability to deal with Processing. I inspired from patterns of Gustav Klimt’s paintings. I would like to make fantastic and golden images with the patterns and trees. Also, I would like to make all images reacting with the sound I choose. However, the sky image was only reacted the sound. And, I slightly altered the tree code applied with Archimedes’ spiral principle. Also, I made trees and forest image using Photoshop and used to pimage. 

Conclusion 

After this final project, I remind my first time to use Photoshop and make collage image with my photo. At that time, I was very interested in making a digital image with the program. But, the image was not good. I am not accustomed with programming. When I work with Processing, I’ve always concerned about how to build my idea. Also, I could not make work what I wanted. However, I would like to do my work with codes well. I believe that I can find my way to work by using codes. Also, I want to do deep, broad, and fun interactive works over this hardship.
