For the summer, we will not be using coupons for AMS Services. Instead, please direct all individual service requests -- wide format printing, laser cutting, or rapid prototyping -- to AMS at the following e-mail address:

ams@nyu.edu

All requests must come in the form of a written proposal submitted by e-mail. AMS will need all details about the project included in the proposal to determine if the work can be approved.

The details should include

that you're part of ITP
a content description of the work
number of pieces
sizes
schedule
work destination
etc.

Please cc nancy.lewis@nyu.edu on your intial request.

Once approved you'll be given an appointment. At the time of your appointment, go to the Multimedia Lab, 35 West 4th Street, 2nd floor, during office hours. Ask for the Advanced Media Studio.

Bring the following:

A CD or external drive with your files on it (no FTP or e-mail attachments). Label your CD or drive with your name and phone or e-mail.
You might want a spare CD in case you have to make changes. There are machines in the lab that you can work on and burn CDs.
All of your materials you need for your project, with an extra sheet for testing/contingency. Label your material with your name/e-mail.

AMS will honor the AMS spring 07 coupons still out in pockets until August 31, but, for those requesting more work than what the coupons can pay for, a written proposal will still be required.
