Thesis Yearbook How-To
DOWNLOAD THESE INSTRUCTIONS .PDF
Due Date: Week of April 14th
Overview
The Thesis book is in two parts: the book and the website. The purpose of the printed book is:
- To interest a reader in your project so that s/he will go to the website to find out more. (You might think of this as an advertisement to lure people to your website.)
- To have an easy reference to all the thesis projects of this year.
- A quasi-yearbook.
Each student will receive one two-page spread. The project pages should be focused on process, we understand that the final product isn't ready yet.
The website will be the permanent record of your whole thesis: your paper will be uploaded there, also the video of your thesis presentation.
There are a few templates to choose from... They are in InDesign. The templates are available here: Templates .ZIP (examples below)
Each student must submit:
- Title of Project
- Student Name
- Elevator Statement (20-40 words)
- Project Description (75 - 100 words)
- 1 - 3 images (300dpi)
- Photo captions (two lines max)
- Project Taxonomy - three keywords/phrases describing project (i.e. sustainable tech, arduino, mobile, etc.)
Submitting Your Spread
