Staging Space
We are nearing the time when the Japanese Room will convert to Staging Space. Once the J-Room is at capacity, we will look at other areas of the floor for staging.
Due to the number or unsolicited emails requesting space, received before this announcement was ready, we will handle requests differently from now on.
Requests for Staging Space require a submission to the Projects DB here: http://itp.nyu.edu/projects/ Venue: Staging Spring 2009.
Please include equipment and space needs in your submission, associate the appropriate class(s) and provide a description so that feasibility can be assessed.
Submissions will be taken until 6PM tomorrow evening, Feb 20. If you sent an email previously please make your submission through the Projects DB.
Last semester, some users of the staging space just used it as a storage area. If your project or thesis idea does not require staging and instead is just a work around for having to work in the shop on a daily basis, or to store your materials, we ask that you not submit. Staging here is defined by needing a physical space to implement a project and then conduct extensive testing over time, not storing materials.
Thank you,
Rob
