2007 Summer Intern Program:
The Yahoo! Intern Program provides a unique hands-on experience for
the best and brightest students from leading academic programs around
the world.
Our interns work on the frontlines of our business: developing new
technologies, negotiating deals, participating on business teams and
rolling out new products to both internal and external clients.
During an internship at Yahoo!, our interns will be able to apply all
that they’ve learned in the classroom and see how text book theories
apply in the “real world.” They will be monitored and nurtured by
their manager, their core sponsor, as well as members of their team
and others with whom they will collaborate in varying capacities.
The University Relations Team will host a series of corporate events
and activities at the Sunnyvale campus. These events are designed to
enhance the work experience and provide a forum for professional and
social networking throughout the organization. They showcase all
aspects of Yahoo! from technical and business innovation to the
unique aspects of being a Yahoo. Our events include a formal welcome
party, our Executive Speaker Series, technical panel discussions and
our annual San Francisco Giants’ baseball game day. Interns in other
locations will be encouraged to attend at least one of the Sunnyvale
events if approved by their manager. Localized events similar in
nature will be organized for Burbank and Santa Monica.
