summer — it is a two point graduate level class and will be held at
Music Tech.

E85.2609 – Electronic Music Performance, NIME 2007 “Master Class”
In conjunction with the New Interfaces for Musical Expression
conference, held in New York City for the first time in 2007, Music
Technology will be hosting a special first summer session (5/14 –
6/22) “Master Class” in Electronic Music Performance. The
fundamentals of electronic, robotic, and software-based instruments
are presented by experts in these fields. Topics include; sensors and
circuits, motors and solenoids, instrument fabrication, programming
microprocessors, and musical instrument software architecture and
programming; as well as student-selected subjects. There are no
prerequisites, although some familiarity with simple circuit
construction and knowledge of a programming language such as C, Java,
or Max, is helpful. At least one complete instrument with an
associated paper is required. Enrollment in this class includes
*FREE* registration to attend all events of the 2007 New Interfaces
