Postcard Submission for Spring Show!

Because our deadline for postcard submissions fell on a Friday, we’ll
be meeting to select a design on Monday… So, if you had hoped to
submit a design for consideration, but it either slipped your mind or
you were hard pressed for time, we will accept submissions sent by
9AM Monday morning!
With the semester now fully underway and things beginning to feel
settled, some of us have begun to focus our attention on the
production of the ITP Spring Show 2008!
The Show will take place on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13 from 5
to 9pm. The Faculty Producers are Tom Igoe and Danny Rozin. As we
get closer to those dates, they will be sending out detailed
information about the submission/selection process and production
deadlines.
For now, keep those dates in mind and maybe take a stab at designing
the invitation postcard used to promote the Show! In addition to
being mailed and handed out, the design is incorporated into the
event website and posters.
Postcard submissions should be designed at:
• 4.25″ x 6″ (bleed size: 4.375″ x 6.125″)
• Portrait or Landscape layout
• 300 dpi, CMYK color
• Saved as .pdf (.ai, .psd, .jpg also accepted)
• Hint: we are hoping to see a more humanistic view of ITP – not
just breadboards and LEDs
• Deadline: Friday, February 22
Please submit your design(s) via email to rob.ryan@nyu.edu by
Friday, February 22nd. A design will be chosen by the ITP faculty
and staff. The designer will need to be available for some refining
of the design, conforming to specifications of the department and
providing a final version. The designer may also need to modify the
design to be incorporated into a larger scale (portrait) poster and
accompanying show website.
Examples of previous postcards are hanging on my door, feel free to
