Jessica HammerAlumni, Former Adjunct, Class of 2002
I am currently completing my doctorate at Columbia University's game research laboratory. My research combines game design with quantitative research on specific game features, such as input devices and reward schemes. I have also developed and taught the game design course sequence at Teachers College, with students of mine going on to win grants and write dissertations based on their work with me. Finally, I study narrative, particularly role-playing games, and creativity, particularly the role of collaboration in creative practice. In my free time, I volunteer for women's technology organizations and run an experimental storytelling group here in the city.
