Born in the summer of 1977, Raina moved to Boston in 1995 to pursue a degree in film. In 1999 she moved to New York City and started at NYU. While completing her degrees she finished 2 documentaries, one on the underground rock scene across the states, and one on Hinduism in India and South America. New York provided a fertile ground for practicing video art as well as producing work for global ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Newsweek.com. In 2004 she returned to New England to attend Harvard Design School and MIT Media Lab furthering her research in urban studies and architecture as it relates to media. She worked with Paola Antonelli and Rem Koolhaas on many interesting research projects which are being published. She is currently freelancing as an interaction designer at R/GA, video editing, doing broadcast design, taking on speaking engagements and independent consulting for various projects in New York City, Los Angeles, Moscow, London, Amsterdam and New Delhi. She is based in New York (for now).
