Dimitri DarrasAlumni, Class of 2006
Dimitri Darras graduated from ITP in 2006 where he learned to think critically about technology, which meant embracing success and failure alike.
Prior to ITP, he built web sites for language learning, consumer electronics, small businesses, and asset management , including the first ever digital photography web site for Panasonic in 1997.
He is currently the Manager, Web Operations at the AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants) and prior to that was a Front-end Web Developer working on the smokefree.gov sites for MMG, a healthcare communications firm, and the National Institutes of Health. At MMG, he received three company awards for technical achievement and managerial accomplishment.
Dimitri holds a BA from Oberlin College in Comparative French and German Literature with a foundation in micro and macro economics and international relations. He is a member of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), and former CUNY-LGCC and SUNY-WCC Adjunct Professor (Game Design, Multimedia Development, Web Design). As a writer published nationally in print and digital, he is passionate about creative writing and the intersection of language, semantics, and technology.
