Doria FanFormer Adjunct, Alumni, Former Staff, Class of 2006
Doria Fan is a designer and a resident researcher with a multi-disciplinary background in art, design, and engineering. While at ITP, her focus was on designing and making expressive physical objects. She is currently a designer for the new web service, outside.in. She has previously worked and consulted for Frog Design, Yahoo, KPMG Consulting, Sony Design Center, and Akimbo Design. Her work has been featured in IDN magazine, Communication Arts, and other publications. Prior to working in interaction design, Doria was a mechanical engineer in product development for Ford Motor Company’s Design Center and for Applied Materials, where she received patents for her work in semiconductor manufacturing technology.
