Emery C. Martin is Experimental Animation Faculty and the Digital Systems Specialist for the School of Film/Video. He is a practicing new/post media artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He holds an M.P.S. in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a B.F.A. in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts. His works deals primarily with social and political issues in relation to how people perceive and processes information. His work also actively uses and critiques game environments, media, power relations and technology. He has shown his work at the Anthology Film Archive (NY), Hunter College, the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater: Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Milano Film Festival, the New York Art Book Fair, New York University, Philadelphia Film Festival, Sea & Space Explorations, Shelia C. Johnson Design Center at the New School, Taiwanese International Animation Festival, Electrofringe, 18th Street Arts Center and The Change You Want To See Gallery.
