Rory Nugent is a programmer, electronic artist, and environmentalist living in the New Jersey metro area. Recently, Rory earned his Master's degree in new media art and physical interaction design at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program in the Tisch School of the Arts. Lately, he has been focused on creating homemade musical instruments, minimal robotics, energy harvesting devices, and experimenting with wearable electronics and critical design. Rory received a B.S. in Computer Science at the Stevens Institute of Technology where he also studied philosophy.
His work has appeared at SolarOne's CitySol Festival, Sony Wonder Technology Lab, Greylock Arts, Exit Art NY, Instructables, Craftzine, Wired, featured in MAKE Magazine, and even exhibited internationally at the International Symposium on Electronic Arts (ISEA).
