Santiago EcheverryAlumni, Class of 1997
Santiago came to ITP from Colombia, South America, with the Fulbright grant in 1995. He graduated in 1997 from ITP and worked for a few years
with Sharleen Smith and her team at USA Networks. He returned to his home country in 1998, where he continued his video, performance and
interactive work, as well as his Gay and Lesbian human rights activism. He also taught in several universities and worked on developing
applications for mobile networked equipments. He came back to the US in 2003 and is currently living in Baltimore, MD, where he teaches
Interactivity and Internet Art at the University of MD Baltimore County UMBC and MD Institute College of Art MICA. He is focusing his research
and artistic production on interactive video/narration, interactive marketing and web development.
