Matthew Epler

I studied Critical Studies at USC\\\'s School of Cinematic Arts. While there, I founded \\\"Depth of Field,\\\" a journal of media, culture, and arts. After graduating, I worked in multiple areas of film industry, including producing and directing of commercial projects. In 2006, I left the U.S. to teach film studies and production in Brazil for 2 years, then in Jordan for 3 years as Lecturer in Cinema History and Theory at the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts. I also discovered my inner librarian while I was there when I was asked to build a cinema library. Now at ITP, I am combining my interests in archives, data visualization, and digital humanities.
