Elena Parker is a writer, producer and creative technologist committed to exploring narrative on new platforms. She currently works as a Creative Technologist and Manager of Interactive Development at Campfire, where she specializes in building storytelling systems and using artificial intelligence in narratives. At Campfire, Elena has contributed to a variety of projects for clients such as HBO, USA Networks, National Geographic Channel, El Rey Network and Ubisoft. Campaigns to which she has contributed have won awards including Ad Age’s “Small Campaign of the Year,” a Silver Clio for Digital Game and a ProMax Gold Award for Technical Innovation. Previously, Elena co-wrote and co-produced the HBO Documentary Make Me Young: Youth Knows No Pain. She also served as the managing editor for the New York Public Library’s first mobile application, Biblion: The Boundless Library. Her next work, a digital novel titled “Base Pair,” was selected for the Banff Centre’s first Digital Narratives Residency, which took place in May 2015.
