Deqing Sun

Courses Taught: Prototyping Electronic Devices

Deqing Sun is a Creative Technologist in New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering at Fudan University and his Master's degree at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University. Deqing has worked as a creative technologist at ESI Design, and an engineer at Parallel Development, a leading art fabrication studio in NYC. He has been involved in multiple large scale art installations including "Shakespeare Machine", an LED chandelier now installed at the Public Theater in NYC, and "The Bay Lights”, a permanent site specific light sculpture at San Francisco's Bay Bridge. Deqing has helped design and build the Buffalo Wild Wings' game theater in Philadelphia and an LED sculpture at the iconic Columbia Center in Seattle. He has built a number of personal art projects, the latest of which "Pinko Poetry" can be seen at Barnes & Noble in NYC and commissioned by SIGGRAPH as part of their 2016 Art Gallery.
