AnjalisPitch

Here's the general idea:

Having explored the travel genre and then researched YouTube, I would like to combine the two to create a somewhat personalized program that travelers can watch on their mobile phones (or online if they have access to a computer with internet connection) that allows them to learn about a country/region/state that they will be traveling to but with a more personal flair.

Each episode would basically consist of one or two people showcasing the neighborhood or area they live in, possibly "a day in the life" type of format where they would be addressing the camera almost as if conversing one-on-one with the viewer. These "hosts" will be from countries and regions around the world and in bite-sized clips (about 3 to 5 min.) they can recommend places to eat, visit, stay..what to do, what not to do..local lingo, local etiquette..basically, they can give a personal glimpse into what life is really like in their part of the world - the kind of information that you normally don't see in travel books or travel shows.

And since these clips can be watched via mobile phone, the traveler would ideally have the choice of when to watch the clips and how often. An interactive aspect could possibly be thrown in where the traveler/viewer can get in touch with the "host" if s/he is curious to find out more information about a particular topic (by text possibly).
