Here's my bio:

Michael Ang is an engineer and artist working at the intersection of science, art and engineering. He holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada and is a candidate for a Master's in Interactive Technology from New York University. His recent works include a robot that makes sound using water, an electronic flower sculpture powered by electromagnetic induction, an interactive video installation dealing with nanoscale forces and a visualization of Yellow Cab movements in San Francisco.

Here are some of my works:

Pre-ITP:

  • Simnuke - I documented and also helped thread pipe, grind tanks, general monkey work
  • rANCHtRonIx - Dated, but some projects of mine on here. Lots of weird and wonderful stuff if you're willing to dig.

Here are some artists I like:

Neato mechanism:

I'm not sure what it's called, but the mechanism from Star Wheel (BM 2004) is pretty awesome. Three people pedal to make the whole thing roll!
