PingPulsePong: a networked pong controller

For my Pong Paddle I wanted to integrate both voluntary and involuntary physical choices and actions. As a start, the plan was to connect 2 momentary (Left and Right) switches and a contact heart rate monitor---with sensors connected to the player's hands in cotton gloves, to provide input of the user's pulse. The paddle would move in the desired direction as that(left or right) switch is engaged at the speed of the user's pulse. This might encourage users to do all sorts of unexpected behavior in order to alter their heartrate as they become more aware of their pulse.

I was able to serially connect to the Pong Server but determined that there is currently a problem with my X-Port. I was able to connect to the server swapping in another person's X-Port but could not do so with my own. I have the Polar p/n 239025379, which is a pulse rate only board and I will continue to work on the X-Port issue and connect the pulse monitors during the week and document the successful Pong Paddle here.
