Welcome to the wiki for Intro to Physical Computing (Tom's sections). This is a place to share notes on your labs and assignments with the rest of the class and with me. There's also space here for links to reference material elsewhere on the web, links to your favorite suppliers, and links to your own project documentation. If you're in one of Tom's sections and you haven't yet filled out your profile, go to the Profiles page and fill one out. You'll need to login first. If you've never used a wiki before, check out these guidelines, or read this helpful definition. For the morning class especially, but really for both: I worked out the problems with the stepper controlled by a potentiometer. It ended up being a combination fo Dan's code and mine, with some re-thinking the action of the motor. It's on my code blog here. Something that may be worth mentioning is you should contact Tom to create an account on the wiki. Also, to get access to the second reading, log into NYUHome, click Research, then click on Books24x7.com under Article Search. This will redirect your browser and give you access to the books on the site. I just searched for "Crawford" from there. To echo what Dan said: To get access to the wiki, you need to see me. Since mailing passwords is a security risk, I'm trying to see as many of you in person as possible. Your login will be the same as your netID, and you can choose your own password. Eventually the login will be linked to the netID database, so whenever you change your password on NYUHome, it'll change here. But for the moment, it's not linked, and I have to do it manually. If you haven't done so already, go to NYU Home and check your email. Unless I have another email address for you, you got mail from me there on Friday. Also, that's the address that all ITP announcements go to, so you should check it regularly, as there are often important registration, administration, etc. announcements there. Finally, get signed up for the phys comp mailing list if you haven't already. It's populated by several years' of phys comp alums and professionals working in related fields who are interested in the ITP phys comp program. A good place to ask technical questions.
