Live Image Processing & Performance: Final project presentations

Please join us for a performance and exhibition of video-based performances and installations created for the Live Image Processing and Performance course at ITP.  Many of the projects also integrate interactive sound, alternate controller interfaces, and interactive design elements taught in other classes at ITP. Students from the class will present their projects and will be available for questions about their work.

A tradition since 1993 at ITP: The Future of Infrastructure class presents five visions of our world in 2015, to help focus and clarify the decisions that interactive media-makers, artists, business people, and citizens are thinking about today.

We invite people to come and hear about the possible range of futures... and engage in an open conversation about them with us.

ITP's Thesis Week 2005 gives graduating students the chance to present their final thesis work to the ITP community.  Each student will have 20 minutes to present the research and projects they have developed. All presentations will be held at ITP.  We will also provide a live webcast of every presentation.  http://itp.nyu.edu/thesis
New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME): Performance at Tonic

Students from Gideon D'Arcangelo's NIME class perform on an array of inventive prototypes for new musical interfaces. The goal of the class is to create an expressive gestural controller for live performance. This semester, the projects focus on the creative reuse, recycling, mashing and manipulation of existing sound recordings.   http://www.tonicnyc.com
