An art installation which receives the viewer\'s heart rate and uses it to generate images and sounds.
In this thesis I am initiating an exploration into possibilities for visualizing and sonifying the vibratory and/or rhythmic character of physiological processes in the body. I intend to create an installation in which each observer would come away with an enriched sense of the rhythmic character of their pulse and by extension a new or reinforced sense of themselves as a unique human being. The intention is to begin the process of development for a tool that can be used therapeutically and for personal growth and to extend the work that has been done in the field of Visual Music.
