To enhance physical transaction using network security and technologies.
Before computers or even electricity, trade occurred when two people coincide time and place to exchange goods. Despite new innovation such as Paypal, Ebay, e-check, e-ticket, if one wants to give (or transfer) an object to another person they would have to either use a third party such as US Postal Service or meet up.

This thesis tries to address the latter option. Instead of coordinating time and place, perhaps a system can be developed make more convenient of exchanging physical objects. Hence the creation of the E-Lock or Asynchronous Physical Transfer System.

Technical System Description:This system consists of a login/registration website, confirmation page (both in php) as well as a java program to interface with a physical vault. This physical vault is just a wooden box with a locking door which is electronically controlled. I am using a Bx-24 for the firmware logic that is complimented with a matrix-encoded keypad, an LCD screen and a magnetic swipe card reader for user interface. The transfer and login information is stored in a MySql database.
