Tag via custom wireless consoles. Units are constructed with very cheap components.
Tag is a game played via custom wireless consoles. Each person is represented by a dot on screen. You are green and your enemies are red. Whoever is “it” is blinking. The game is very scalable; many people can play. The electronic components are also very inexpensive.

This game has many applications. In this version, I imagine the consoles being integrated into chairs in the waiting rooms of a children’s hospital. They would invite casual human-human interaction in a space where it might not otherwise exist.

Background:There are a variety of very cheap 35 pixel LED units that are normally used for alphanumeric display. This project started as an exploration of the interactive possibilities of these small screens.
