An application that provides for a networked performance
P2Performance is basically an application that enables a musician to find other musicians over the internet and then perform with them real time. A peer to peer application that enables players with Midi instruments to communicate with each other.

Personal Statement:It is my exploration into applying concepts of networking into an artistic performance. Networking has been one of my main interests and in this case, it is applied in a collabrative performance over the network
Background:It is a follow up on last semester\'s project the Interactive musician where a software program analyses a player\'s patterns and performs with him.Instead of the application playing with the musician, it tries to match the player\'s style with the other players who are logged on to the network and sets up a networked performance between two players who have similar playing patterns. THe musicians then have the choice to either continue or chosse to play with someone else.
Audience:all ages, musical knowledge a bonus
User Scenario:user logs on to the network and then just plays. He then receives feedback from the application as to how he compares to the others in terms of performance. If the applcation finds a close match with some other players performance on the network, the user is connected to that particular performer.
the user may also initiate connections with other people on the network
