Description
The Global Consciousness Project consists of almost 100 random number generators around the world that feed their numbers back to a central server at Princeton University. Events that attract much of the world’s attention, such as September 11th or the 2004 Tsunami in South-east Asia, appear to cause statistical anomalies in the random numbers. It is speculated that the anomalies are caused by a change in global consciousness.
The CONSCIOUSNESS FIELD RESONATOR is a scientific instrument based on this research. This project is my attempt to informally replicate Princeton's experiments, and decide for myself if the psychic forces purported to exist actually do exist.
The device consists of random number generator with a physical noise source, and custom electronics to analyze the output of the generator. When anomalous behavior is detected, the device will alert the user with bright lights.

User Scenario
This device responds to purported psychic energy--"consciousness fields" in particular. People interact with the device by trying to influence the output of the random number generator with their minds. If a group or individual has an intense emotional experience near the device, it may respond. It also may respond just by chance. Regardless, the user will generate a belief system about the efficacy of the device and the existance of consciousness fields.
