Description
Raviv Method
The Raviv Method is a neuro-cognitive approaches to developing and correcting learning and attention skills, in both children and adults.
The Raviv Method works on the basis of correcting gaps formed in the development stages in learning and enabling the formation of new neural pathways, where vital connections need to be created between the different parts of the brain. The method implements Howard Gardener's "Multiple Intelligence" model and displays a new understanding of the relationship between learning disabilities and the brain's development, structure and function.
The Modern man has developed special neurological pathways for reading, people who suffer from reading problems have not developed these pathways.
In order to read, our brain uses and synchronizes several systems.
-Visual: seeing 2-D symbol (operate on the Frequency of alpha waves (8-13 cycles per second))
-Auditory: connection between the sound and the symbol
- Cognitive: Understanding the meaning of the symbol (operate on a faster Frequency of beta waves (14-35 cycles per second))
In pioneering The Raviv Method, the founders created a means of bridging developmental gaps, improving co-ordination and synchronisation of the brain activities, enabling people to modify their own brain waves and establishing effective 2D perception, which dyslexics and people with learning difficulties find very hard.
How Do You Prepare the Brain for Learning?
"In Motion for Studying" is a program that develops the networks of complex nerve systems required to learn and express our intelligence. These networks and contacts are physical entities and they can be stimulated and developed using physical means. Our brains respond to training and exercises exactly as the muscles in our
body respond.Traditional education has never really prepared us for learning. In actuality, it is a system that constantly examines us, in connection with the material that we are given to memorise, process and express in writing or orally.Unfortunately, most children begin studying at school before they are neurologically ready for learning. Many do manage on their own: some become mediocre pupils, never reaching their full intelligence potential; others
become 'weak' pupils, who are generally defined as having learning difficulties. Those with specific conditions, such as dyslexia, tend to have a particularly difficult time - with impact on their self-esteem and self-image.
Daily practice
- Walking the figure 8 usually focusing on the TV for 20 minutes
- Breathing exercise: 3-5 minutes
- Anchoring orientation: 1 minute
My proposal:
Is a computer base game where handicaps that suffer from learning and attention skills, would be able to practice the figure 8 walking exercise on the computer.
Furthermore, the educational game will serve the ones that would like to increase their motor skills: Bodliy/ kenestheic intelligent, Visual skiils: Visaul/ spatial intelligence. training and exercises our brains respond exactly as the muscles.
The game will be build from:
An animated figure which will be crossing two obstacles while walking in figure 8
This exercises will works on connections between the different parts of the brain to developing and correcting learning and attention skills.
The user will need to keep is eyes on the Braid view image while controlling the character in the main view
When the character will pass the cup the cup will move to a new random location.
The User will need to track the new position of the cup.
The user will need to cross the cup for the right way to make an 8-shape path.
