1-bit video monitor
Description
Continuing his exploration of low-bit audio, Perich is now exploring the visual realm by generating 1-bit video signals from a microprocessor. This chip provides a limited vocabulary for video synthesis: low-resolution black and white images. Working with video at this level, the television becomes a low-level device that is interfaced directly by the microprocessor: a high voltage sets it white, and a low voltage sets it black. A few video works are presented alongside new versions of his 1-Bit Music.
