On the Looking Glass seeks to open up a literal and metaphorical window between two distinct locations by creating a shared drawing/communication space on a piece of virtual glass.
There is almost no social or academic connection between ITP and any other like minded programs such as Parsons, RCA, and UCLA. Our project seeks to open up a literal and metaphorical window between sister communities through creating a shared drawing/communication space on a piece of virtual glass. Users will approach a large screen that shows realtime streaming video of a distant location. We will provide a light pen that allow users to communicate nonverbally through drawing messages and pictures that will appear at both locations.
