Amico is a device for disabled people to give more chance to communite with their friend through e-mail.
Our device is develop for disable people who can not check e-mail by themselves. We would like to develop a bracelet which inform to user when they receive new e-mail. So when user receive e-mail, out AMICO will glow blue light.

Background:When I took Rethinking the Switch class at ITP, I met many students who weren't able to check their e-mail themselves, becuase their fragile bone structure. So, they had hard time to interact with their friends. I would like to give them the chance to communicate with their friend using e-mail through our AMICO.
Audience:Amico is developed for disabled people who have difficult time to check their e-mail.
User Scenario:When a user receive a new e-mail, Amico will glow up blue light to let user know that they receive a new e-mail. So they can ask to the nurse to check their friends' message.
Technical System Description:To check e-mail, we use perl and save title and user's address as text file in server. Max/Msp check this text file and when it finds new e-mail, it sends a number to blue tooth communication with Amico.

Conclusions:AMICO provide friendly way to check e-mail without open their account
