A light piece illuminating the animating force of a participant’s breath.
Our project attempts to illuminate the subtle animating forces of breath. Small cylinders of light are amplified and brightened when a participant blows on them, thereby transferring the power of their living breath into luminant energy. The iconic metaphor of candles take on a twist, when flickering patterns persist and echo outward; rather than extinguishing the candles the act of blowing becomes a seed for the growth and animation of dancing light patterns.
