A view of the world in big and small pixels. Big activity is detailed with smaller pixels and vice versa.
Displaying a live scene, sections of the screen subdivide into smaller pixels based on the amount of activity or change in each section. The color of each pixel, big or small, is the average or "summary" of the area it covers. The result is like a perceptual system that details changes and provides a general summary of everything else.
