The idea of a love perfume which when worn would cause another to fall instantly in love has existed for centuries. Historically these scents have been sold with skillful banter, but today we synthesize the pheromones the body produces in hope of effecting another\’s behavior. S Ring plays on this notion by releasing a pheromone laced perfume onto the hand of its wearer when triggered.

The wearer can then open their hand and direct the scent, perhaps toward a desirable other. While we may not be able to accurately effect the behavior of others with pheromones now, in twenty years that could change. Imagine a pheromone mix concocted after analyzing the desireables DNA. Without their knowing, their behavior could be unconsciously influenced.

Trying to read others motives and protecting yourself from unseen influences may be part of the future. Or perhaps a new art of facilitated communication will emerge.

Concept and realization( – conceptualization of initial idea)
The uncertainty of lives has been enhanced as we consume more choices and controls of
information. I consider that these chances and probabilities create various combinations of
events which could be composed by collective senses of time and space.
Installation with diverse shakers represents our interactions between the mixtures ofpossibilities.
The inspiration of „Shakers‟(spice bottles)is not for seasoning food but for flavoring creations.
Whereas they lose their practicality, they gain other identities to create visions and scents.
Powder is supposed to be tiny particles of earth or seeds of organisms consisting of a certain
pattern of generation. Audience can play them by shaking bottles onto the plates.
Each shaker embodies different rule sets of creations that generate granules, their reactions,
syntheses, and their collapse and disappearance. It is also embedded with scent dispenser
that disperses different smell of earth. As audience sprinkle different shakers, they generate
images of particles and dispersethe scent of organisms such as earth, decaying leaves, wood
and flower.Expectantly, those collective smells formulate a forest-like atmosphere playing with
genetic visuals and eventually it could craft more memorable experiences.

The IVY jacket is a fashion/medical line of clothing for long-term intravenous (I.V.) users both in hospitals and in home-care. After watching my grandmother spend the last months of her life hooked up to an I.V., I wanted to find a way to make I.V. patients feel better and less sick. My first thought was movement, having the freedom to move at one’s will, and even travel outside of the hospital or bedroom, which is difficult since standard I.V. apparatus requires the patient to remain stationary (for the most part) while receiving treatment. To tackle this issue, I designed an outerwear clothing line for I.V. patients, where their jacket\’s inner vest holds two I.V. bags, connecting fluid tubes, and an infusion pump, which regulates the rate at which fluid drips and alerts the user when it’s to get a new I.V. bag, which they can then change by themselves, without the help of a nurse. In addition the jacket has several options for needle entries, depending on the patient\’s needs. The inner vest can be worn under a series of fashion-forward jackets, which will improve the patient\’s self-esteem, making them more confident and allowing them to escape the sometimes stifling \”hospital\” mindset.

Trump Le Monde is a hardware/software platform design to teach children and adults to play the trumpet. The program was created in processing and features music notation as well as pictorial representations of valve fingerings scrolling across a screen prompting the user the play along with a song. The controller unit is 1/3 scale of an acoustic trumpet and features realistic spring loaded valves as well as a breath sensor in the mouthpiece. Audio is generated when the correct valves are played in conjuction with a breath input. The goal of Trump Le Monde is to teach trumpet fingerings as well as basic sight-reading of sheet music. the program is ideal for getting students interested in music as well making existing practice regiments more fun. Trump Le Monde can read any MIDI file containing a trumpet part and can output MIDI data to any MIDI sound module.

\”Opening Up\” is an exploration of public shyness in two parts. Shyness takes the form of paper in \”Unseen,\” a book that invites participants, through pop-ups, flaps and tiny poems, to engage in the tangibility of a complex subject. \”A Kit for Friends of Publicly Shy People\” includes \”In Case of Nervous Speaker,\” a safety card, and the Tug Shirt, a garment that embodies conflicting desires. Intended for informal social settings, it allows for communication between friends. Tugging the bottom seam of the shirt triggers lights to brighten in the collar; the stronger the tug, the brighter the lights, thus mapping the level of urgency in the wearer\’s desire for conversational inclusion.

Ever refuse a panhandlers request for spare change because you didn\’t know where it would actually go? Do you ever wish it were easier to donate to charity without the administrative burden?

Givkwik seeks to make the process of donating to charity as quickly and as easily as you need it, when you need it and in the amount of you need it to be, all in the palm of your hand!

Givkwik is a mobile application that displays the logos and mission statements of popular charities such as Make A Wish Foundation, United Way, March of Dimes and others. Users browse the various entries until they happen upon the charity of choice at the given moment, from there the user simply presses a button to increase the donation increment. Starting at 35 cents, users simply decide how much to give and off it goes to support a charity\’s particular cause.

We don\’t all have millions even hundreds of dollars to donate, but we do want to show we care. Now, we can. Givkwik simplifies the process of philanthropy and lets you act on your charitable impulse!
