Concertgoers, bands, musicians
User Scenario
Attendees of a concert call into a phone number. A phone number appears, and a caller calls the number. The user's last four digits are projected on-screen once a successful call has been initiated, and the user sings or blows into their phone mic to generate audio.
Implementation
Chime uses Asterisk, a SIP client, Max/MSP and Ableton Live
Conclusion
That abstracting audio in participatory work can actually lead to a more satisfying interaction.
