Toy Design Workshop

qbloq is a cube with multiple personalities, it is a cube of building blocks, it is a puzzle and it is furniture. Its a toy for kids, but could also be enjoyed by grownups, each person reacts and interacts with it in unique ways. 7 different pieces, each strong enough to hold a person's weight but light enough to be lifted by a child.

Background
the pieces needed to be big enough for the kids to mount them, light enough to be carried and tugged around, soft enough to be huggable, and hard enough to provide stability.

Audience
children and adults who like to constantly reconfigure their environment.

User Scenario
Have the Qblocks be reconfigured by each person or have it be used a resting spot for people to watch the video pieces.

Implementation
blue foam, foam, fabric and tape.

Conclusion
The learning process went very fast and there is still a lot of room for improvement and experimentation.

the lightness, the softness, and the space within each piece needs to be readdressed.
