Video Sculpture

In a nutshell, this piece is about families and how they pretend everything is perfect on the outside, even though there are issues and problems in every family. The installation consists of five frames hanging on the wall with video portraits of the family being projected from a ceiling-mounted projector. Below the frames stands a little desk/dresser on which a wooden house (doll-house size) stands. The door to this house will function as a switch to change the family portraits from smiling to arguing, with the narrative unfolding over time.

Audience
Everybody.

User Scenario
Viewers pass by the installation, are prompted by the door and close it. They then watch the videos change and have time to reflect on family secrets and why we keep our issues behind closed doors.
