Significant Other is an exploration on how technology affects the human condition and how humans will look like in the future. The project will be an art installation that will transform users\’ reflection according to proximity. The installation is a monitor which will be face high. This is no ordinary monitor since it has the ability to show how humans will look in the future.

The screen will provide a holographic reflection of post-humans, which will be hybrid machines. In the future, we\’ll have new materials and smaller computer chips for enhancement. Our bodies will have to adapt to new environmental conditions. Our minds will have to store more and process information faster.
