CirCus.FanTrope.Events is part of my long-term project, “CirCus(Circular loCus),” an experiment with circles and circular movement. FanTrope is interactive installation that lets the audience perceive interference pattern – Moiré (Event) – through a group of paired fans. When one fan lies upon another, they interfere each other so that this generates moiré patterns on the blades of fans. It is transitory and illusionary but somehow causal between two effects and more than two patterns on different paired fans sometimes seem synchronized and meaningful.
