Headroom Mk. 2

Patrick Proctor

A reimagining of the original Headroom, with greatly simplified technology.

Headroom Mk. 2 is a reimagining of the Headroom project (ITP Spring show 2010), minus the technology. Using double sided laser cut mirrors instead of helmet mounted cameras, Headroom Mk 2 invites users to sit opposite each other, and observe "real world" combination of their facial features. The project was created for Georgia Krantz's Recurring Concept in Art class, and Ms. Krantz herself described it as "taking her breath away". Other comments compared it to the original Headroom and described it as "more interactive", "even better", and "more fun".
