Background
My practice as an artist has always traversed an experimental, playful landscape. The trajectory of this thesis began as a toy design project and then I distilled the idea to create a toy object into a concentration on the act of play itself. Underlying research involves various texts on the concept of play and a handful of participatory, social art projects.
