Description

I cherish radio. To me, it is a technology that can be owned and understood by many, a magical vocal connection with someone you’ll never meet, and a delightful analog system waiting to be built upon. Each episode of the series presents research and an experiment which connects the communication technology of radio, the people who produce radio, and the radio listeners.

From building radios to creating for radio, I find a voice in the lesser-known parts of the system. I hope to form a new intimacy between people and radio by empowering them to claim control of their electric environment through listening and producing together.

The Radio Unheard: episodes air weekly on WNYU in New York City and WREK in Atlanta.
