“Sonic Signatures” explores the meaning of identity and legacy as it relates to an individual without a genetic legacy. In a world where technology moderates interpersonal communication and connection, affecting the depth and nature of how we relate to the each other, “Sonic Signatures” focuses on creating a more personal interpretation of a digital legacy. The expression of this essence or unique inner being is translated from the markings left on the world. Taking the uniqueness from handwritten samples and by extension the objects chosen to fill personal space, a recreated space is created on a more intimate scale whereby others can hear the room resonance and unique musical composition based on the handwriting.
