Wandering Minstrel

Tigran Paravyan

Imagine a band of musicians walking down the old narrow streets of Tribeca with cameras and microphones flying around them, capturing the sounds and the energy of the band and the space. Imagine a guitar player going down a huge stairwell of an industrial building and recording or even streaming that live with no crew or any heavy equipment.

Description

“Wandering minstrel” is about capturing musicians and spaces. It’s about having a portable studio in your pocket, instantly ready for production.

Current solutions in this area include field recorders like Zoom, DSLR cameras, smartphone microphones and lenses, grips, stands etc. Most of that equipment is bulky, takes space, time to setup and knowledge to use properly. I think existing technology can do better than that.

With this project I want to give musicians a possibility to capture those kinds of spaces exactly the way they sound. I want to empower amateur musicians and I want to give better quality to professional ones.
