Through the Looking Glass….
The project is an interactive mirror display, which will be used by children with various kinds of disabilities. The interactive display entices the young audience with its flavorful array of colors and textures. The main aim is to get children to extend and reach to build upper body flexibility and strength, while also encouraging them to touch various textures that they wouldn\’t normally care to due to aversion to tactile material. Additionally, there will be physical objects, like doorknobs and bells, that will assist in building various muscular strength in less acknowledged places (like the wrist and palm) by encouraging the children to pinch, turn and perform other underutilized functions.
