Aura is an interactive, location-based asterisks application that interfaces with a public, photographic screen display and allows users to communicate experiences, tell stories, share photographs and obtain immediate emotion-based information about a particular location using the text messaging and standard call functions of their mobile phone.

The Human Rights Video Hub Pilot is a collaborative project between witness.org, globalvoicesonline.org and freeformed.org created with the intention to encourage people to record the human rights abuses they witness with their mobile phones and submit the videos via MMS messaging or through a J2ME application to a witness review board for curation and publication on the globalvoicesonline site.
